So.....if one of the furloughees gets hired at Fedex, he/she will make 59/hour as an FE first year and 114/hour second year (if upgraded). At UPS second/third year FO pay is 143/hour. I think if Fedex hires a furloughed UPS pilot, he/she will leave when recalled by UPS.

As someone who has worked at both places, I can tell you that if a UPS pilot gets hired at FedEx, he (or she) will most definitely not return to UPS. The reason is he will be too busy, having died and gone to heaven.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think FedEx requires you to resign from your former airline. (Yes, I know there are ways around this).

Chey has it, released from hell. Call from Purple and I would gladly put this hell hole in the rear view mirror. I hate everything about it, add to that 5 years from now I will still be at the bottom of the list as UPS continues to shrink and add more managers (yes more managers)

The same amount of time at Fred'd place SHOULD at least put some people behind you.

If the hiring rumors are true at FedEx and hire 500 this year alone, then wide body FO is not out of the question year 2 which is $139 an hour. That, with having a least a few hundred behind you might seem to make your opinion somewhat questionable.
