FedEx accepting >12,500# time only?

42 post ago the original question was is, "Circlining VMC Only" a limitation?
The answer is yes. It is a limitation. If it wasn't a limitation it wouldn't be listed.
It doesn't matter that FedEx doesn't go to HYA, it is a limitation. HYA was just a wx example.
When you get in give me a call, the beers are on me. If HYA is IMC I'll be at the Quarterdeck, if the field is VMC I'll be at the beach.
Once again, if you have to ask the question, maybe you shouldn't be applying to FedEx.

Now, go back and read the entire post and quote it correctly.
I asked if it "counted" as a limitation. (As far as FedEx was concerned).
Again, some airlines see the "limitation" as a "restriction" and want it removed. Southwest does NOT see it as a "limitation/restriction".
As far as the Quarterdeck, thanks, but no thanks. Starbuck's WAS my preferred watering hole while I lived there.

Okay, so what conclusion did you guys come to on the commercial multi question? I didn't quite get it. After UPT, got the commercial multi, then like a previous poster, got the ATP which superseded that. So can I check both boxes (commercial amel and atp amel)on the ratings page? Sorry, got lost in the limitations conversation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't circling by definition a VMC maneuver? Maybe I'm a wuss, but I personally go missed if I enter IMC once I've commenced the circle!
Seriously though, I don't understand what that limitation means exactly - does it mean you can't even commence the approach from the IAF unless you're VMC?

Didn't have that problem. Odd. Since the commercial is a prereq for an ATP, it would be senseless to check both, but to each his own.
