Whomever bids it as a new hire just be prepared to stay for a bit, longer than two years my guess. $2700 and no Xpat status does not go a long way in HKG. HKG is completely different than ANC.

Two quick questions....

1) Is the application a one shot and its sent kind of thing, or something where you can submit and then continually update? (as long as they're taking updates) ie: You're unable to take the FEw by tomorrow. Wait to apply until you have it, or apply without it (and mark as such) and then go back and update it once you complete the test?

2) Would a very well qualified pilot, yet who has no sponsor/recommendations/etc, stand a chance?

Have the same question as Yamaha - working feverishly on the flt engineer written, but won't be done by tomorrow. Can we go ahead and apply tomorrow, then update next week when the f/e written and internal recs are done?

Yes, as long as the website is open you can update whenever you like. Create your profile with all your info, leave FE written part blank until you get the test then update.

Good to know - the weight & balance is time-consuming!

Dude, go to Sheppard Air Flight Test 4.0 Prep Software ATP, Flight Engineer, Mil Comp - FAA Airline Transport Pilot

The question bank is so "tuned" that you could review it a couple hours before the test and get a 100%. No joke.........

I SECOND THIS ^^^^^!!!!! I studied the whole thing twice with correct answers only and the memory aide; Once yesterday and today before I went to take the test. 19 minutes later I came out with a 96%. The best $75 I've spent; Especially if I get the interview and job. Just a technicality or a hurdle to get where you want to be.

Come ooooonnnnnnnn WINDOW... OPEN UP!!

My understanding is that the new software from an offsite vendor will not let you continue with the application process if you don't meet any of the minimum requirements. So, leaving a required block blank will stop you from continuing any further on the app.

FWIW, for people who have updated in the past two years the website no longer says they will receive their activation e-mail by January 16th, only some time in January. I wonder if the window is going to open tomorrow or if this indicates a delay. Personally, I honestly don't know when I last updated but I suspect it might be just outside the two year window. Hopefully it opens to everyone soon.

Thanks to the FedEx folks who have been posting information, it's greatly appreciated.
