Here's one for the FDX people. What if an individual interviewed for a pilot position and did not get hired? Is another interview possible? Is said individual "blacklisted"? I know there are a number of people out there in this situation.

Discuss.

1) In the past, it depended on why the applicant didn't get hired. Have a bobble on the sim eval, you could apply again and possibly make it. Have one of the interviewing Capts leave the interview saying "No way I'm getting in a cockpit with that guy" and you won't get called back for another shot.

2) As pointed out above, new regime in the front office, and he hasn't yet published the details of the process or his philosophy. However, the qualifications page of the website is up and current here, and thats really the only concrete thing an applicant can focus on for now. Beyond that, we're all just guessing based on past history.

Used to be able to reapply after a year or two. Dont know that one for sure. I would hope that they would take into account things like nerves etc that could have caused an interviewee to be denied. I have a good friend that interviewed with me and was turned down. Hopefully he will make it this round.

Thank you for the replies. I guess I could just reapply and see where the chips fall. I am fairly certain I did not answer the Q's in the proper format which led to my rejection.

If I would have received a resounding "no". I would not bother.

[QUOTE=gearcrankr;925742]Thank you for the replies. I guess I could just reapply and see where the chips fall.

If you don't then you already answered the question.... You will not be LOOKED AT. Then again you could just stand on the corner in a pilot uniform and hold a sign. Hopefully a Fedex management guy will see you and offer you a job. It worked for that homeless guy who has a great radio voice. Bottom line, apply if you have the mins.

Default Pilot Recs

I know the pilot app option on the FDX website doesn't open back up until the 15th, anyone know whether the pilot rec option is still closed as well? I haven't been able to get on, but have heard that others have been able to. I'm on long term mil leave, so my overall SA is low. I called the ANC chief pilot's office and the guys there were not willing to admit that we were even getting ready to interview, so no help there. Anyone know?

On that note. How is long term mil leave viewed when sponsoring someone? Does the rec carry water?
