Print Egrid, take several pictures of it with phone (vertical/horizontal), make best picture background, or keep it near front of saved photos with screenshot (hold power button and push menu button at same time). Hope it helps. Really painful extra layer of security that protects us from what? If someone has a bidx trick for IPhone, I'm all ears (...eyes).

If you have upgraded your Iphone to the new software this helps out a bit.

Once you have a copy of eGrid in photos, open it up then open safari to the sign in page at FedEx.
If you double click your home button it will bring up the last four items you have just used.
You can select Photos and it will bring up the pic you were looking at "eGrid" Just double click the Home button again to get back to the safari page again and so on. Jump back and forth between Photos and Safari as needed to fill in the eGrid.
Hope that helps.

I did a similar thing. I made it a (.pdf) book in iTunes. I open it with iBook (.pdf) and then double-click and open Safari. Double-click between the two apps to enter the codes.

I didn't know about that double click option...that worked pretty well...I use that pdf in iBooks feature a lot. Thanks!

all techniques above are good one. this may speed things up a little bit.

download Atomic Web browser from iTunes ($0.99). use the auto fill function for your employee number and password. for some reason I can't get Safari to remember them. you can either use the phote or pdf technique for the grid code.

BTW. clearing the multi-task bar will increase battery life. this can be done by double tapping the apple button opening up the multi task bar. then press and hold one of the items on the bar until you get the minis signs on them. tapping each one will delete it from the bar and close out that app.

Default Iphone app coming

There is an awesome app for the iphone that I have been helping with the beta testing for one of our guys. He is working on the final version to put through the appstore process. It is very well done, stores and logs in with the egrid, covers open time, deviating, vips messages, calenders, etc.

Check out the tutorial at Overview

I think this will be a must-have app for every fedex pilot with an iphone.

No word on how long until it will be available. Jailbreakers can pm me for early trial process.

I just printed a card and put it in my iphone case. I took a picture, etc, but in the end, I just pull out the card..... Don't make things too hard....
