FedEx Retirement Data

Employee's discretion on the FCIF is what I have heard. Some guys write nothing and don't want anything posted, some guys write epic's that are 3 pages long that don't get posted, some guys write stuff that's....... well, the 'company' is just not going to post that as a retirement FCIF.

My daughter is a school teacher and has spring break off and we are taking her on a trip overseas. Undecided on a FCIF, but a car wash would be nice coming home from China.
The guy that owns the hangar across from me retired on sick from NWA (sleep apnea) and was just fine with no last flight. He flew U2s over Russia for 20 years though so he had enough fun for a career.
I've overstayed my welcome at the company by a few years. Best to all.

The retirement numbers listed earlier in this thread are interesting. Consider the impact on the near term years when the company begins pushing for a contractual retirement age of 65........ and a penalty of 3% a year for every year you retire early. What do you guys think?

I attended a recent hub-turn union meeting. I was pleased to hear that SS has directed the Negotiating Committee NOT TO DISCUSS raising the "normal retirement age" from 60.
I was glad to hear that!

The company would save almost nothing with a retirement age change. The vast majority wait until they are 65 or older.

That's been our going in position from Day 1.
As I warned back then, we signed our names to retirement at 65. The rest is semantics. Wait'll the mediators get ahold of this.
