Try the Lightspeed Zulu or any Lightspeed headset. Nice stuff.

Just bought a UFlyMike to use with my Bose headset and really like it. The clarity is great. I can actually understand the Scots!

I purchased the Telex ANR headset from Sporty's. It is lightweight had a good mic, and charges it self off of ships power. Not as high tech as the BOSE but also only half price!

I'm only up to 5 types but the loudest by far was the Jetstream 31.

why not use the telex headsets in the airplanes and use the ear-plugs that are available in operations? this combo works fine, just turn the volume up all the way.

total cost: $0

I hear ya. Well, used to.

Quietest I've ever been in was the L1011. Best view.
