What is up UPS?

EXACTLY. Without defending his conduct (if guilty as charged), I just don't see how this guy gets fired before convicted. UPS and their legal dept are too smart for that. As I've said before, if he gets convicted of "misuse of a computer" I actually don't see how that gets him fired as an airline pilot either. A violent felony certainly gets his ramp access revoked, but misdemeanor misuse of computer? They better come up with something more...
In the military, we'd end run the situation if the guy served civilian jail time by simply charging him with unauthorized absence during his incarceration and out-processing him on that. But I don't think corporate America is gonna play that kangaroo court the Navy does so well. I bet he takes a plea, pays a fine, and shows up on the line as if nothing happened. Doesn't make him not a scumbag, just makes him not unemployed.
