I have asked and been shown my "pilot reliability report card" 3 times. I try to check it once a year. Most ACPs will show it to you, some may require you to schedule an appointment.

Default I'll go out on a limb on this one.

Throughout our careers (30 or so years) we are bound to have irregularities and that goes for all the boy/girl scouts.

If there are problem children then they need to be taken care of in a prompt fashion under the the CBA. And if that problem child is smart they'll get themselves squared away. In this day and age to blow away a good career is a hard thing to recover from. But stupid is as stupid does.

No here's the beef of the discussion. If after numerous irregularities a pilot is brought in for discipline and issues from years past are brought up, without any prior discussion, I doubt that it would hold up in a grievance, much less court.

NO NO NO you dont! And thats my point. You can see a manilla folder your record as per contract. BUT you can NOT see the report card. It is a mgmt only computer file with your picture. Once again it contains anything they want: late, sick, deviation, irregularity , fatigue, DO comments ACP remarks. None of which you can dispute/ clarify etc.

You know every time you post on APC about the report card another entry get's made on yours don't You?

I'm keeping a report card on the company.

If they pull their report out on me I'm going to pull mine out on them, so to speak.

On a related note, I would be heartily in favor of a contract modification to the term "sick hours/sick bank" to "personal hours/personal bank." Anybody out there have any other employment contract experience besides FDX that addresses personal leave etc. apart from vacation?

There is a small airbus carrier in NY that lumps all of the time into PTO...paid time off. PTO includes sick time, vacation, and personal time. You can use it to drop trips and still get paid for it...assuming they have adequate reserve coverage. If they don't have coverage, then you call it sick time and they can't do a thing about it. Miraculously, they always managed to cover the trip anyways. If you don't use all of your PTO, you have the option of selling it back to the company at straight time. I don't remember if you were allowed to carry it forward to the following year.

This system is commonly used at many non-airline employers.
