The last time I checked, three of you had to recommend them, and one had to walk them into the chief pilot's office. Perhaps opening the hiring lines to people other than just squadron buddies might bring some fresh air (when hiring resumes).
Not trying to start a Mil vs. Civilian p!$$!ng match, but I am observing that it's nigh of impossible for a civilian guy with limited connections to get in the door there.

And yet the hiring mix has been about 50/50 since I have been here. No data, just my read on the Jr guys.
My numbers may be off but saying it is impossible for a civilian to get in the door needs to be backed up with some evidence.

Don't laugh, but it is in the AA Before Start checklist.
Whether you turn it off or not is up to you, but the checklist has a challenge and response for it.

It's kind of impossible for anyone with limited connections to get in the door. Yet, somehow we end up with close to a 50/50 mix in the last few waves (when 3 recs became the norm). So, obviously some of them have made enough connections and you're barking up the wrong tree.
