I can't take credit for it, picked that one up from an Aussie chick at the Double Decker in Dubai. During Ramadan. It was "Infidels drink free" night.
Osama Bin Laden was more than happy to accept help from America when fighting the Russians in Afghanistan. His real anti-west radicalism didn't quite manifest itself until the Gulf War. When Saudi Arabia opted to have the US defend them from Iraq instead of OBL and his muja's, he got his feelings hurt and declared war.

From Wikipedia:
The First Crusade was a military expedition from 1096 to 1099 by Western Christianity to regain the Holy Lands taken in the Muslim conquest of the Levant, ultimately resulting in the recapture of Jerusalem. It was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II with the primary goal of responding to an appeal from Byzantine Emperor Alexios I Komnenos, who requested that western volunteers come to his aid and help to repel the invading Seljuq Turks from Anatolia. An additional goal soon became the principal objective—the Christian reconquest of the sacred city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land and the freeing of the Eastern Christians from Islamic rule.

History of PETN
Synthesis Penthrite was first synthesized in 1891 by German chemist Bernhard Tollens and P. Wigand by nitration of pentaerythritol.[25] In 1912, after being patented by the German government, the production of PETN started. PETN was used by the German Army in World War I.[26]
[edit] Terrorist use In 1983 the "Maison de France" house in Berlin was brought to a partial, almost total, collapse by the detonation of 24 kilograms (53 lb) of PETN by terrorist Johannes Weinrich.[27] In December 2001 al-Qaeda member Richard Reid used PETN in his unsuccessful attempt to blow up American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami.[28] He had intended to use the solid triacetone triperoxide (TATP) as a detonator.[8] On 28 August 2009 PETN was used in an attempt to murder the Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Interior Prince Muhammad bin Nayef by al-Qaeda linked Saudi suicide bomber Abdullah Hassan al Asiri. The target survived and the bomber died in the blast. The PETN was hidden in the bomber's rectum[29] or sewn into his underwear.[30]
On 25 December 2009, PETN was found in the possession of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian with links to an al-Qaeda cell based in Yemen.[31] According to United States law enforcement officials,[32] he had attempted to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 253 while approaching Detroit from Amsterdam.[33] Abdulmutallab had tried, unsuccessfully, to detonate approximately 80 grams[34] (2.8 ounces) of PETN sewn into his underwear by adding liquid from a syringe; however only a small fire resulted.[8]
On 29 October 2010 a number of PETN filled printer cartridges were found on freight flights bound for the United States. Intelligence agencies believe the packages are linked to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, based in Yemen. The two suspect packages—described by President Barack Obama as "a credible terrorist threat" — were addressed to synagogues in the Chicago area. The packages were found on UPS and FedEx cargo planes, triggering alerts in the U.S., United Kingdom and Middle East. Other planes at U.S. airports were checked because they were thought to contain items from Yemen.[35]

Because there is nothing to support that, and speculation like that is how stupid rumors start.

Hi!
A big impetus for the Crusades was that there were a lot of young, single knights in Europe, with no land and no money, and with weapons and a lot of energy. The religious/political leaders of the time didn't want them raping and pillaging in Europe, so they send them on the Crusades to give them something to do, and so they wouldn't raise hell at "home".
