World QOL

Fedex Int'l F/Os (w/ the $7.00 override) are at the same hourly rate as their junior Captains, give or take a few cents. So, on paper I'd say it's the World Captain. In practice, it probably depends on what either pilot did for the month.

hey you might be on time with your own freight all the time but here, this month, you've yet to launch on time (or rather arrive on time) and the net result is that freight is lost AND Fedex does your maintenance - not exactly a good op. That's all 3 jets.

Tuck - give it a rest. Unless you have some "data" to back up your pontificating. The above mentioned percentages are what is being reported on our "official" website. 99% MTD - 93% 3 month rolling. That is what is being reported for the FEDEX contract. I'm sure if we are doing as poorly as you say you won't be seeing the tails on the ramp. We all are Union flyers and are of course wary of flying such contracts to begin with. Your Union has allowed such wet lease flying and our folks I'm sure are doing what we always do - giving you the best product we can. Again if you have specifics feel free to share. This thread was about the QOL at World -
As far as that is concerned it depends on what you are looking for in a company and a job. For me it's a great fit - and I enjoy being here very much. Stop bashing - or at the very least feel free to bash - but at least come to the plate with some actual numbers vs what is being said on the bread truck on the way to the jet.

My comments were in very bad taste. Apologies to all.

For what it's worth, true story:
Two dudes were were at ATA together on the 757 until furloughed.
Dude 1 went to World, and several months later, #2 went to CAL. CAL's hiring was going full bore, and it was very easy to get your friends interviews simply by walking in their res and dropping their name in the cheif pilots office. #2 asked if #1 wanted any help getting on, and his answer was a short "Nope, I like working here [World]".
A short time later, Dude #2 ends up at FedEx. Asks again, you wan't any help getting an interview here? "Nope, I like working here [World]".
Everything I read/hear says its a decent place to work.

But, don't blame you........ once someone says something you don't like, you're no longer responsible for your actions or have any control over them. Hmmmm, interesting logic....
