Fdx deviation question
I think I know the answer but I figured I'd ask anyway:
Is there any way to use the deviation funds from Sep and Oct to pay a single expense?
I'm traveling within the first 3 days of Oct so I can slide those expenses back to Sep. I've got over $1000 from Sep that's going to go poof. If my ticket is $2500, can I slide part of it ($1000) back to Sep and pay the rest w/ Oct money?

Splitting deviation bank expenses
No, I'm fairly sure that you have to choose which month to use the money from. On the other hand, a friendly email to your helpful auditor may generate an acceptable response. Just go into the conversation that you'll be asking for special treatment.

If you have two legs, this is definitely the way to handle it. In fact, you may find that the combination of two tickets may be less than the single fare. The cities that you are flying to/from have a lot to do with it. If you split a ticket transiting Japan, be ready for sticker shock, but it may work for your situation.
If you are on a single leg, can you go somewhere first, then continue on?
Trip Manager can be immensely useful for you to get a grasp on the possibilities, but if trying to make a one legger into a two legger, think outside of the box and try to envision all of the possible city combinations.
