Default FDX Pilot Wings

As trivial and inconsequential as it may be, Does anyone know why we are the only pilots in the entire industry who do not wear wings on our shirts? Since the company seems to be especially concerned with our professional appearance, you'd think they'd want their pilots to look the part......

True, but just think how cool they would look when were deadheading in our jeans and a rock-n-roal T-shirt. Along with our lanyard of course...........

Because the PIN Clasps on the Back don't stay on (much like the ALPA pin)
You would see a bunch of pilots walking around at "Sling Wings".

Then surely FCIF's would follow.

Nope my Cowboy boots and BIG Texas Buckle are enough.

As regional pilots aren't really pilots, your argument holds water...

but have you seen the "other Memphis company" lately?

Pinnacle pilots do not wear wings.

Dude,

With the recent expiration of 4.a.2.b and the current contract negotiations, we have waaaaaaay bigger issues to worry about than wings on our shirts!*? Please put the Jack Daniels down and step away from the keyboard ...

Regards ... Mark

Because we're supposed to wear our blue jackets and hats.

I don't know why we don't wear them, and I don't care. I'm just glad that I don't have to worry about something as silly as that.

Fedex has the great idea: Leave the uniform alone. When are we required to wear the jacket? There is no date- you use your head. Good idea! They want us to look like pilots when we walk through security at various freight hubs around the world, and we do just that, but they don't freak out when we ditch the uniform and fly in sweats and a Harley-Davidson T-shirt as I do when I'm on a long leg.

I think that I was actually issued a pair of wings 10 years ago when I started here? I guess I have them somewhere, and I think they are supposed to go on the felt jacket that I never actually owned~
