That's what I would say if I were feeling snarky this morning. But since I'm not, I won't.

Have a nice day!
Is that supposed to scare the Beejezus out of me so that I'll just work for whatever the Massah wants to pay me?

Grow a pair Dude. Stop cheerleading for the race to the bottom.

I agree although there is a point (wherever that is) that both FedEx and UPS would probably say "Screw this, contractors are cheaper". Let's not completely hose ourselves out of a job either. Know what I'm sayin?

For sure!

On a lighter note, I'm going to start getting MA for my maternity leave on the 26th. You want me to send you the $1?

It may have been a bribe, but I voted for the contract because I thought it was a decent offer and I saw the EB falling apart. I am way more than willing to go into a fight with UPS but only if we are all on the same page. What I saw in 2006 was a very split EB and pilot group.

No kidding...

Let's hope there isn't another coup from the inside. There's at least one with sour grapes and a political agenda.

That coup has added about 30k a year to my W-2. We need growth, contract enforcement, job protection from single pilot and autonomous aircraft, and we need to bring stability back to this job. It's going to take some serious leadership to do it though.

Anyone can bang fists on the table and say we need nothing less than 30% across the board pay hikes, but that is absurd. The one thing that Magner used to say that I agreed with is that you don't negotiate in a vacuum. The pay at United does have some influence over ours. ALPA and the FDX pilots are going to have the chance to either help us or screw us again with their next contract.

What would you give up now for language about single pilot airplanes that won't be here before the next amendable date?

Funny how UAL had absolutely NO bearing on the '98 contract, yet it does now.

That coup ultimately cost us all dearly...there's more than your W2.

Sideshow-

Really? That is so strange. I just haven't seen or heard anything like that yet. I wonder who it could be? Does their name sound like a female body part? Let's see...Mulva? Dolores? Oh, wait! I've got it now, it sounds like a male body part!

I'd sign away my A plan for languague prohibiting the use of unmanned platforms. I turn 65 in the year 2038 and I do not anticpate either a cockpit to fly in nor a A plan to collect. The USAF will be test flying unmanned A-10s in the next 18-24 months and Embraer is working on a single pilot aircraft to be available in 2018 for commercial purposes.

But let's forget all that and get the Baby Boomer generation of pilots theirs.
