According to the Head of 727 Standards, at last weeks meeting, flying will be down drastically in the 727 in January. Take it for what it worth. I think they have some 727's down from Canada or something like that because of ramp construction in Memphis.

He also apparently said 2014 was last weeks retirement date but it does change daily.

Plumbing was fun...whatever happens. Enjoy it! No seriously.

They will not put newhires into right seat 75 for at least a year or two, until the back seat is essentially flushed out. They are looking at passover issue and want to put that possibility off as long as possible...so, newhires, you'll be plumbing.

We give a couple more 75's to Canada Morningstar at the beginning of the year and get two 72's back from them.

I went to your website to update my info cause I plan on leaving UPS for Fedex. It seems as though the system has been updated and is requesting a new profile. Can someone there tell me what is the hiring code that it asks for on the first page?

Does anyone else remember when UPS reinterviewed their poolies? I think some who have been recently furloughed had to deal with that.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I never even applied to UPS. Didn't want to work for a management team like that!

Are there hiring quals listed somewhere ? Thanks if you can point me in the right direction.

Any idea if the hiring practices from the past will be kept in place...three letters, meet-n-greet, etc.

TIA,
FF

Check the link in post 245. As for the process, still to be determined, nothing specific has been released to the crew force.

SCP wants to end the meet and greet. Sponsors/recommendations from current crew members will continue to be important. They also want to put more emphasis on who we sponsor - if a guy has sponsored 50 people, it doesn't count for much as he's probably not flow with half of them. May even limit us to one person we can sponsor at a time.

This can change... I didn't get a letter of intent from the company on this

You seem to be on in the know, can you tell me what to put for the hiring code?
