First 757 to CDG tonight

Maybe it's not RVSM qualified and needs to stay out of RVSM airspace? Just a guess of course but there were a few times when MD-11's were required to make the crossing at FL270 for that reason ...
Or ... maybe they know it's the SCP and it's operating "due regard."

Was talking to some 777 guys on the crew bus a few weeks ago... and on their initial trips to CDG.. they did not have the approval to fly in the MNPS airspace in the NAT region. (OpsSpecs?) They had to descend and fly underneath and then climb up on the other side. I'm not sure if this is the case for the 757 also.. but just some speculation on my part.
Hey what do I know.. I'm just an engineer with no special skills (or previous flying experience before I came to FedEx).
LOL
