"Jack Pack" was part of a musical group......like "XXXXXXXXX and the Jack Pack"
From wikipedia
They reached their prime in the 70's yet still shockingly relevant today. While most of their music was indistiguishable from their predecessors, they are most noted for their anthem "Feathering Your Empty Nest".
Though many find that piece of music to be drawn-out, laborious, and predictable, it gained wide acceptance among their generation. All agree it stemmed out of human emotion and motivation that have been around since man was civilized. Even those who claimed not to like the music admitted to singing the tune in private, or just realized they unwittingly hummed it while working.
Some report seeing whole groups of people raving all-night long dancing to that tune without regard for the effects these nightly parties have on their long term health.
While younger generations find the music distasteful, many expect that they will be forced to lipsync to the song later on. Some claim to look forward to the time when they can appreciate such classic lyrics.

So let me get this right. You guys are complaining that guys who are senior to you are taking a lot of time off, thereby allowing more junior guys to fly those great trips. Is it that, or is it the fact that you feel soooooo bad about the company losing productivity, because they're training guys who are close to retirement. Such patriots. I'm sure the company would be glad to know that you're in their corner.

Says the new guy who is likely an old guy! Anyway, just to clarify, we saw plenty of movement before, this is just the first positive movement for those non Jack Pack members. Having said that though, your sentiment is not totally lost, especially with what is happening at our competition.

Tuck,
I predict that it's going to be a very long career for you....One filled with the pain and depression of having to deal with, and god forbid, work with "old guys." It's inevitable, but that shouldn't stop you from hating them, each and every day, from now until the day you retire. Should make for a really fun career. Good luck.

JJ, perhaps you're taking Tuck's bait? Or....maybe he really hates old farts....like his father, grandfather and Mr. McGillicutty next door who used to shoot BBs at him for riding his bike across his lawn. I'm guessing the first one though.

I agree with him...And, I'll take it one step further!! I don't like working with any kind of fart. The cockpit is much too small of a space for that.
