The "super-old" 727s have the highest launch/MX reliability rate in the fleet....and routinely are tasked to rescue cargo stranded by our "new" 757s

Isn't that because as long as 2 of the 3 motors will start you get launched - everything else can be deferred

No, it's because the guys flying them are built of sturdier stuff than those sissy boys flying the electric jets.
