FDX MXP to CDG Deviation Question
I have a 50 hour layover in MXP followed by a deadhead to CDG. Instead of being picked up at 3:30am for an hour car ride to the airport followed by a 2 hour wait for the flight I thought I would do a mid-trip deviation. I checked and a first class train ticket is well within the deviation bank. My question is the hotel in Paris. I'm scheduled for the CDG Airport Marriott. Has anyone done this before and if so, does the hotel have any problem with me checking in about 12 hours early? Thanks for any info.

Probably depends on when you actually check in. We are talking about the Frogs, mind you.
If 12 hours is too early, buy an extra day w/ the deviation bank. You need to get the Fedex rate in order to be authorized to pay w/ your dev $$.

Last published rate was 99Eur. If you're lucky, they might count it as the same day-- call and ask. I called and made a reservation instead of going downtown for a dh. They gave me the FDX rate with no problems.
