Actually, that is not the case. Even with maximum contractual overtime until retirement, I would not average even close to $200,000 per year over my career (adjusted for inflation, of course), which will be the average per year guaranteed compensation for the furloughed crewmember in my example.

Geez, that's horrible! Why didn't you say this earlier? What level of career earnings would it take to not screw your coworkers, since there's obviously a price tag on your honor...250? 350? 500? (rhetorical question, I don't give a **** what your answer will be).

Ahhhh, but you're giving it your best shot! Enjoy the rest of your career here, sir! You're famous! (or is it infamous....)

Hired at 35, in your dreams !

Now when someone (like myself and 1/3 of my class) start year one at 40+ years old ... your numbers don't look nearly as promising.

Thus you should be picking up as much OT and JA as possible. Duh! Oh and start lobbying for age 70 too.

Get rid of our credit cap, or at least get it higher ... it is too low now, I'll never catch up!

I don't hate this place. It isn't all that bad. You people need to realize that there are other jobs much, much worse. You need to take care of your family, have something to fall back on. You knew this business before you got into it. What are you some kind of Socialist, that's not the way things work. Take one for the team. Think of all the money you'll make after you come back from your furlough, you'll be a billionaire, especially since you all got hired when you were 25.

What? What was that? The stopping at 90 was a rumor?

I hate this place!! 11X/170

Are you insinuating that there are some, who were not exempt, picking up open time? If true, that sucks.
