First TCAS and now this EFB thingy? We do not need any more electronical voodoo-wizardry in the slave ship. What's next? Quiet engines? Electric seats?

Wish they would bring back the 100's and 8 track tape. Guess they want our "crew performance" safety reports to equal those of the Scarebus.

Heard there's gonna be software pre-loaded on the laptops we're being issued. Will include 727 EFB and ACARS familiarization, with free Rosetta Stone German lessons thrown in for the guys bidding Cologne.

Reminds me of a quote I heard lately: "I used to be an MD11 Capt, but after 30 yrs of flying I've now been instructed that 15 kt x-winds are terrifying. I'm holding on too tight, Mav. Pass the cheese..."

And to think a student with 15 hrs TT can do this in a C-152, but our FO's aren't good enough. Laughable.

When I was an MD-11 f/o (for many years), I always thought it was strange that as a former military, TYPE RATED F/O I wasn't "qualified" to shoot an approach to CAT I mins? But ... like you said above, I was qualified to shoot a CAT I with 200 hrs in my C-152?

It's pretty sad that I'm a professional pilot with close to 7000 hours, ATP, three type ratings, and I'm not allowed to land in more than a 15 knot crosswind. It's just pathetic.

I think it's part of management's sinister plan to get those "part of the problem" senior F/O's to upgrade.

Funny thing is amid all of the downgrades and 4.a.2.b, most of the less vocal elements our group have adjusted to the lower income meaning they've probably created a future generation of 'part of the problem' senior F/O's. JL yelled at everyone about it, I suppose O will tell us upgrading is the professional and ethical thing do.
