Nah - apparently our SCP told a recurrent class that ACARS in the 757 was just a convenience thing and not a safety item...

Its in the FTD now (not much help for commuters)and the training manual was sent via DVD a while back. Not in the sim yet but will be soon.

You can go to training and standards, presentations, and view the video for the efb.

Hands on practice? What? You're an F/O!! Just observe the Captain operate it, until you get to the left seat. It's even easier than landing in a 16kt crosswind.

Are you talking about the EFB or HUD?

Anyway, 727 folks have nothing to worry about with it. It is very easy, intuitive and you'll have it figured out in about 10 minutes.

Default Practice makes perfect!!

Flight management has come up with a plan to familiarize all the B-727 crews by assigning them to observe live legs in the jumpseat on MD-11's, MD-10's, and B-757's in lieu of the normal DVD sent to your house program. Of course you won't get paid for the observation flights just like the DVD's
