I was really hoping that nobody would use this argument. We should not have to fly overtime to max out our retirement. Our highest pay rate at normal BLGs should do that.

That was part of the theory of the A380 payscale. Yet, another reason we should hold the company to that intent, with the 777 scale.

It is the reality of the situation.

I told that Qwerty guy not to put the UIO next to each other, but he is as thick headed as a C/O flyer .

Do you really want to get into a discussion of the likelyhood of the A Plan surviving till I am 75? If I had six hours more per month to fund my 401K maybe I wouldn't have to.

As I said, I am not against C/O. I am against rewarding it with CIC and leveling credit. The extra 30 pieces of silver should be enough . Carry over is a fact of life, but why encourage it? Busboy's plan of taking it out of makeup would work but never get past the company.

Oh sorry, it was not my first choice, but I have a carry-over trip at the end of the month.
A Correct Statement. This would only occur under a Cap and Bank type system.
Results of the Contract 2004 survey showed the vast majority did not want to go that route?
Maybe the sentiment has changed maybe not.
A CAP/Bank is the only way to ensure all seats in all Aircraft in all domiciles pay the same + or -.

If folks do not want a Cap bank then don't complain about someone working extra.

BTW it isn't just "Senior " guys working extra.

You are the one who tried to bring idiotic political comparisons to the argument.

As far as your comment about votes of the membership, no one said it was illegal. Read the 1st post again the guy asked for opinions on C/O. I think it is stupid to let 25% of the membership have unlimited blg and you can't wait till your senior enough to fly 120 hours a month. So we answered his question and told him the two general opinions on C/O.
Hey FDXLAG aka rep for the DemOcrates.
man I'm 50 from the bottom and sometimes build up my line a few hours, so if I can do it anyone can. Now if you commute from a demOcratic part of the country it might be harder to do. The 727 is a junior airplane, yet you want the more senior (everyone that doesn't fly the whistling sheithouse) to help the 727 community out. Man that is Obama's health care and tax scheme here at FedEx.

Now I'm just kidding around, but I'm tired of guys *****ing about all this stuff. You will never get people to take food off their table to help someone they don't know. CW and the lot could care less about the 727 community. Get the 727 guys to stop flying extra first.

It really does not matter to me, my career goals are never to sit another day of reserve in Mem and have them UPS me my cake sometime between age 60 and 62. The man asked for opinions on C/O, if you havent figured it out yet, I think it is stupid. But if we all did what was smart all the time Budweiser would never have been able to sponsor race cars.

DemOcrates
I don't think the line is drawn so easily especially since I'm a economic conservative who dislikes the disparity during 4a2b. Most don't mind guys working extra during good times to reach their personal goals or saddle their horrendous spending (demOcrates). However, in a time where shared sacrifice would force a desirable outcome for all, I have a big problem with carryover, DP flyers, vlt, draft, etc.. Hopefully this episode will convince people to get their financial house in order. If we acted in unison a year ago this 4a2b nonsense would have ended a while ago.
