Its blood money working here......
As far as respect from management? The CEO at 100% of the majors chimes in on pilot furloughs.....
At UPS we make billions a year, leaving families in ANC and not one word from the CEO........he is truly a piece of crap
I do regret coming here and would like to leave but at some point as you get older you just have to deal with it,,,you become too old and I hate to say it but to lazy to make other moves....interview etc etc....
For anyone considering UPS in the future..do not come here.....you are better off starting your career with JetBLUE or a number of others.....

Amazing that something such as corporate culture - which is taken for granted so much in this business - results in such contrasting work environments.

I remember when UPS fired all the poolies about 5 years ago instead of honoring the hires they had made just to get at their pilots for contract negotiations. Couple that with the 24K a year starting salary and I never even considered applying at "Brown".
I really feel for the guys that have just toughed it out making 2K a month (after leaving decent paying jobs in many cases) and are now told they are hitting the street while the company is making $4 billion a year in profit. The culture at FedEx sounds much better from a management vs. pilot standpoint even with all the issues we have too; in fact it sounds like we may call up some poolies who have been swimming for a few years in the near future. It'd be funny if we hired all the UPS furloughed guys!
