I agree w/ you FP -- not a fan of litigation. However, in this case, it's the best option. In spite of UPS being one of the "world's most ethical companies" the only thing they understand is relieving them of some of their wealth. It's the only way they'll make sure this never happens again. IMHO

If the facts resemble the above even closely, he should indeed lose his job. UPS would never tolerate a line pilot acting in a similar fashion.
