Atlas and Passengers!?!?!
#31
For all those that care, looks like Atlas has pulled it off. The first Sonair flight is set for tomorrow and all the squares are filled.
As a side note, they already have some high end charters set up for the spare aircraft and are hiring up to 100 F/A's, up from the original 75.
So far, no Angolan pilots around and all F/A's are from the IAH area. Can't vouch for where the F/A's come from, but all are well trained and ready to get this thing rolling.

latest update
Hi all,
just looking for the latest update for Atlas hiring F/A's.....
I have heard they have gained another contract carrying PAX...Is this correct?
I interviewed, but did not receive a call for the class that starts next week, but I also did not receive a "no thanks" letter. I know another class will be held in March...
Thanks!

The flight attendants for our PAX service worked for an outside contractor. They were all great folks! Why they did the job is mystery meat to me....low pay, no travel bennys.
The flight attendant contract owner was a classic anti-union, lowest wage, seniority busting douche, but that's another story.
I'm sure when we stopped passenger charters in August 2001, all the FA's lost their jobs.
