FDX- insufficient reserves
On a given day there are 19 pilots on reserve and no trips in open time. All attempts to move or drop R days are denied due to insufficient reserves.
I vaguely remember reading about this issue on this board in the past. Does anyone know if anything can or is being done about this? Are denial notices being forwarded to ALPA or is it a dead issue?

In the past the company liberally refused R day moves but gladly took drops for the same days. That was fishy but at least gave you a way out. They're clearly cranking up the "Reserve System" optimizer.

Here is one for you.... I tried to trade a trip with another that was the same length, but departed two days later. Of course I was denied due to insufficient reserves. I was eventually able to trade my original trip for two smaller trips, then trade those two for the trip that I originally tried to trade in to.
Don't ask me how the system works.
Cheers,
Beertini

Less reserve lines = more hard lines they can build.
Continues to keep avg BLGs (and the new SAM) low...which, supposedly justifys 4A2B.
Nothing new here ---- been going on for months and months.
