Bud of mine in Georgia built that model. The 1:6 scale powered version never flew, though.

I can't imagine why...Based on the size of the prop compared to the size of the aircraft, I think they were thinking more along the lines of a marine type vessel. Of course, it did have 2 engines. So, maybe that prop spun real fast.

On a lighter note, it's nice to see some big bad-asses like the 777 flying as purple tails. I can imagine the costs of operating it are less than MD11s and the trade-offs are beneficial in the long run. What do you guys think?
