Default FDX - 777 Block Hour Over-ride Question

Curious as to the answer to this one. Those long NRT legs that pay 15+30 or so, is the block hour override figured in here or do you get that at the end of the month?

Basically, what I am wondering is, say you have two NRT trips, each blocks 16 hours one way, for a total of 64 hours for the month, do you get the extra "over 10" after all is said and done?

Somebody posted earlier that this is already in the final trip pay computation, but I just wanted to know if anybody here has direct experience with it.

Thanks

Convair,

I'll give it a shot. Is the trip a time away from base trip? Look at the bidpack and look for a T. If not, your pay is block pay and your additional pay is already factored in.

If it is a time away from base trip (trip rig), I believe pay is already factored in for anything over 10 hours of block. It does not include the time from 8 to 10 hours.

If your trip is MEM-NRT-MEM, you would have to sit in NRT for 4-5 days to get trip rig. If not, you will get block time. The trips that I have got the block over 8 are usually trips that are about week or longer.

I concur with golfandfly on how it's calculated. It's been a while since I flew one, but as I recall, you actually get the extra pay on the 15th of the next month for a "trip rig" trip.

Sorry about the margins here, but this is a "T" trip rig trip at 40:13, with 28:39 actual block....so what will it pay FOR REAL? Will you get everything over 8, or just between 8 and 10? Don't know why they made this so dang confusing.

118.35(tafb)/3.75 (trip rig)=31.56

31.56+8.66(block over 10)=40.22 hours

This equals 40+12 trip pay. When you complete the trip they will add block over 8. If you fly exactly 28+39 hours, they will add 4 hours to your pay. You would get paid 44+12. Remember, these are actual hours. If you fly fast you will get paid less....

Take the TAFB, 118:23/3.75+any block over 10 (8:39) = 40:13. The additional block between 8-10 will be paid will be added once the trip is complete. The caveat is if you underfly the leg, MEM-NRT 13:19 and HKG-MEM 15:20. Any amount underflown from the 4 hours (between 8-10) will be deducted from that. If you flew HKG-MEM in 15:00, 20 mins less, then you would only be paid 3:40 BKO(block recapture).
