He might have wanted to check out GWOE references before he trademarked it:

Global War on Extremism

Seems fitting somehow, based on recent emails.

Stupid name, poorly notified, training added, no rockstar parking, a 3 month vacation on the beach, shoes, ties, bags, whatever.

Guys--we've all got our gripes and I'm putting myself at the head of the list-some of the idiocy here is insane. I understand the frustration that yesterday's emails are generating, but I'm fine with all of it. O just needs a proofer or some better office help. We've got a problem somewhere and we've got to start figuring it out. In the past, we've all known there are some things that are broken, but who was fixing it? Someone's now trying and I'm glad.

I may not agree with the methods of any of it, and I don't, but if it stops guys from getting hurt, killed, violated, etc., then I'm all for it.

Perhaps a better name could have been chosen, but if you are not familiar with Tony Kern, as a professional aviator you should be. He is not perfect in all of his analysis, but usually is spot-on. This might be fantastic, let's not get overly "toe-up" about the stupid name!

It might be a good thing that we are going to participate in a "program" that will possibly identify and correct things that we do to make our flying safer. Lets hope management does the same on their side of the house; whether it is kept a secret from us or not.

Put it on a DVD, pay me 3 CH to watch it, and use the savings to buy more options.
