What FDXFLYR was trying to say (I think) is to just fly your awarded line...............nothing more, nothing less.

I won't fly my awarded line, but I will fly something equivilant to my awarded line. Same or less credit hours.

OH!?

The name was picked as a result of watching one of the funniest movies I ever saw. . . the main character, "Captain Ron" (Mr. Goldie Hawn) was a bozo. . so I thought it would be self-deprecating, humorous and would remind folks of a few laughs they might have had. If you perceive it otherwise. . THAT is YOUR personal problem.

The only time we ever pulled Gs in a C-9 was when the chief said "Oh my God, I forgot the coffee" and we did an immediate 180 and taxied back to the line. The "Gs" I was referring to were in the F-4, A-4. . and various and sundry of the other 30+ types I had the pleasure to have operated, before I got old.

Uh, isn't 13 days off already min days off? Don't all awarded lines, excluding c/o, by default protect min days off? If you have c/o and protect min days off, THEN you have to drop a trip(s). Protecting c/o is kind of like flying extra at straight pay, isn't it?

Is this Joe Fagone? . .no really? . . he is about the only one who has his head so far up his a$$ that the lack of O2 has caused brain damage and he can't keep his facts straight.

I would be willing to bet your next month's pay check that you are either a lying MF, or you don't know what you are talking about. Maybe you should fact check with someone who knows. . BEFORE putting lying, defamatory slander out there?

My previous airline required that no pilot could fly extra trips that would cause them to have less than 7 calendar days off a month. This is a safety / fatigue issue as well as a staffing one. Fedex with its sterling safety record would be well advised to make that a contract provision. Better yet make it 13 days. I know, I know, I'm an optimist.

Protecting c/o isn't like flying extra at straight time, it IS flying overime at straight time. And, about 8 prcent of or flying is done that way. If everyone conflicted carryover next month, and no one picked it up, how long do you thinks negotiations would continue?
Fr8Dog, Your pet peeve seems to be guys selling back vacation and mine is carryover. I've got a great sticker idea for you. "TAKE A STAND, TAKE YOUR VACATION".
