I agree that we shouldn't be flying DFT or VLT or any kind of MU to pad our BLGs. But, my point is that if I have lost credit hours from my normal BLG line, then it's silly to make it up at straight time.
An ideal situation would be to knock out your entire line with CIC or sub and then fly 2/3 of your BLG credit hours at 150% and get paid what you would normally get paid for working a full month.

I have close to 450 hours in my M/U bank.
I use all my vacation and then some.
My thoughts on this may change when I see a ratified TA.
Remember to the company it ain't about the money. Having to pay 150% doesn't punish them. Leaving Freight on the ramp does and having to pay for the loss of delivery/ mis delivery does.

I agree, if they are calling for draft, then they are getting into a bind (regardless of your BLG). The time is NOW for us to stand up together and just say no more draft. Lets send our negotiating committee back holding some strong cards.
For the last 3 months I've been below the Low line CH and I have well over 600 hours in my M/U bank. Heck the M/U bank is just a company gimick to make you feel like your losing money so they can get more straight time work out of you.. just like C/O

I think a better way to judge extra work is whether or not a pilot is protecting min days off. Doing this circumvents the issues raised above about getting drafted to makeup time lost, etc. The pilots who have less than min days off a month are the real problem children.

OK let me get this straight. I bid a line with 13 days off and it pays just over avg BLG. I am supposed to drop trips on this line to get back to min days off? What happened to just flying 100%?
