The proposed raise at UPS "is good," Darby said. "I don't think it's out of line. It's not dramatically higher than what the legacy carrier pilots were making before 9/11."
Man that is one stupid monkey.

Default Which FedEx pilots like the UPS T/A?

I'm a bit surprised by Dave Webb's comments. Perhaps he was quoted out of context, but aiming for the UPS contract at this point would be a heck of a bar-lowering for our negotiating committee, no? He almost sounds as though we'd gladly accept those pay rates. Also, how does one not consider the health care increases non-concessionary?
From what I've seen, I don't much care for that contract... Am I off base when I say I think we can do a lot better?

You just noticed that Dave Webb is out for what is good for Dave Webb, and for his pet projects. Look at section 11 we gave concessions in pay and work rules so Dave could get His TRB,and training to Prof. Do think one instructor was asked if they were willing to gine those consessions?

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see anywhere where Webb said he would be happy with the UPS contract. I think he said he wouldn't settle for anything less. Did I miss something?

The headline was a bunch of Commercial Appeal crap.

When the big UAL contract came out, you could take the DC-10 rates, divide them IN HALF, and they were still 33% more than we were making at Gemini....

We have all given our opinions to the negotiating committee long ago about the new contract. Four cornerstone issues are the backbone, correct ? The negotiating committee is not going to come out and ask individual groups about their willingness to "give consessions" in certain areas. The IP group is only one area, this contract covers all pilots. While I agree that the company was picking the low hanging fruit with the give back in section 11, I think we need to wait and see the entire TA and then decide.

If a guy lives in the school house forever then that section might be a deal killer ? I really do not think that Bob had much to work with, we all knew the company was going to throw W2's around especially in training. Maybe you can show your displeasure to the Company instead of the union and stay home more often ! The company will surely notice the lack of your extra efforts.
