While I don't think we need to be giving concessions, I'm getting really tired of hearing some of the school house guys complain. Last year the top 40 W2s belonged to Flex guys!

Section 11 transfer some of that money to the LCAs. I think the LCAs are way under paid! They are the ones working harder, putting their ticket on the line, and have far less flexibility when it comes to their schedule.

MD department is currently putting out 24 crews/mo by working TONS of overtime. A reliable source told me it would only be 14/mos if those guys just did 100% and no more!

His pet projects? I do not think Dave has any pet projects that I know of. On the other hand instructors seem to have alot of pet projects going on...What bolt are you working since you are in the highest group of non-member and highest payed pilots in the company?

I missed where it says Webb likes it. And since when do you believe everything this rag prints? I think if anything they like the fact that maybe they have a deal now so that will get the cmopany negotiators and, just maybe, our NC off dead center.

And, obviously, helping to get negotiations completed has not been one of them! In retrospect, kinda silly to have given them their own voting block, isn't it?

Nobody said "He likes it". He didn't say "I like it". What he was quoted as saying was "There is no way we are going to accept less than what the UPS pilots have accomplished" . Well, folks, that's essentially implying that we would accept something equal to their T/A. Good luck seeing us get anything more when our MEC is quoted in the paper (and I did say that likely he was quoted out of context?) as basically saying that their T/A is good enough for us. Clear as mud?

I don't. Hence the "out of context" remarks. I expect everything printed in that fishwrapper to be an attempt to hurt our position.

I don't know of anyone who really believes that. The company's strategy certainly is based on their own timeline and agenda, UPS contract ratified or not.

"Do think one instructor was asked if they were willing to gine those concessions?"

Read the Flex Block rep's letter to his members and get back to me. He spells it all out very well. Bottom line is if the flex guys don't like it they can always come back to fly the line with us lowly line pilots. Freedom of choice is a great thing.
