Default FDX MEM Crash Pad?

Can anyone direct me to a quiet nice place in MEM? This would be temporary until I can find suitable housing for my family.

Thank you for your help. You can PM me or call me directly. Thanks...

Quiet place? Try the FDX benefits office that sends out retirement packages to our retiring pilots.

Check out pilotswap.net. Look on the left side under rentals. I used to rent a private room in Germantown for $300/mo, but you can probably do better if you shop around and negotiate a little. I'll see if I can find the contact info for my old place and I'll give you a call. By the way, did you get hired?

If you are in the area (MEM) and have a pilot friend at FDX I would suggest having them escort you into the locker room area and let you peruse the crash pad advertisements. Or maybe they could just look for you, either way since we have not hired for sometime there are many open slots in town.

I personally suggest either Germantown, or areas to the NE. I would stay away from the areas south of Winchester Rd., at least those still within TN. I do not know much about the MS crash pads, but there are some good alternatives down there as well.

Were you in the pool? Just wondering if you had got the call or are just planning ahead? Good luck!

If he "got the call" then we should have been out of 4A2B the second after that call was placed!

That's what I thought, so I was being a bit sarcastic. I was hoping someone in MGT had really made a mistake and started hiring while we were in 4a2b!

I'm still waiting for Mgt to try and sneak a PRO to the line during 4A2B and tell us "...that doesn't necessarily mean were not overmanned ---- it's just contractual"

(OBTW --- I personally heard one Mgt pilot say that at a MEM Hub Turn mtg last spring, but I think that viewpoint was ultimately retracted when they later blocked the PROs from coming to the line)

Hey Everyone,

Thank you so much for helping me out! My wife and I had a place lined up in Collierville but it was sold from underneath us.

I am still in the pool.

I am in the process of putting my house back together here where I live that I had torn apart right after Christmas to repair some major plumbing issues. I will start checking out accommodations this week. Thanks for all your help! Sorry for not responding earlier. If I leave here without putting the bathroom back together, I better go ahead and build myself a "dog house"....

I haven't found a crash pad place yet.

Good Morning Everyone,

I just wanted to thank everyone for the PM's and calls about crashpads.

I have located a place in the area and will move in the next day or so.

Look forward to working with everyone.

Whale.
