Cargo will never generate as much media attention as the pax lines.

Just the way of the world. FedEx media purchases aren't the big driver in situations like these

I never mentioned media purchases in the equation. The infrastructure of The Fed's communications department is phenomenal. I know, I've been on the receiving end of a screaming VP of Communications phone call when something they did not like hit the press. It was funny and scary at the same time.

You are correct though pax will trump cargo every time in the interest category because "lives" are at stake, which I always found funny that our lives don't count.

It's not that "our lives don't count", it's that we're perceived as part of the plane, unlike passengers, who have individual identities, like that exceedingly fat guy that was the rage of the internet last week. YouTube - Fat guy on a Plane
