You must be feeling guilty,

Anyone in the top 2700 who actually gave is probably embarrassed at their peers for being so lame,

And appearently the IPA leadership feels its time to call out those that didn't give,

As BM said at one of the MOU road shows, "sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade"
Is UPS the first airline job you have ever had? You sound pretty new to the airline business.

Try 6th (yeah, real new to the business jacka$$)

I'm not bitter, complaining, or whinning,

That might be hard to believe, but a forum like this is the absolute worst way to communicate,

I'm just calling a spade a spade

That's it guys keep ****ing off the "top 2700."

Do you realize much of the "top 2700" will be affected by your furlough? Article 14H will force junior captains to ANC so really most of the seniority list will get slammed.

And what of the results of HR 3371? Commuting may become duty. So what of the senior guys who then might have to travel to SDF instead of commercialling from their home because they can't get the line they like?

I am not much senior to you so I have a serious interest in seeing your jobs saved from a personal view. So does much of the "top 2700." So think before you post. ****ing off the very people you need to help you screws us all. And some of them just might be too stupid to realize it.

Oh and senior guys - stop sticking a fork into the eye of people who are looking into the abyss. Getting furloughed now isn't at all like when you were 20 something and furloughed in 1993 or whatever. Lots of these guys are in their 40s and making six figures.

Does this forum help or hurt our unity? We need to think smart not stupid. This is a strategic battle not a tactical one.

g

BTW - Beware of agent provocateurs of managemt. That person who is getting you riled up might just be working for the other side.

I then find it amazing that you are such a "softie". Most guys I know in your shoes prefer to to do a "push to test" before giving back millions to a profitable company. You probably have a few years left here and what you are seeing is nothing more than the initial steps of contract erosion. I am not trying to change your mind, but I am just puzzled by your lack of backbone and apparent willingness to jeopardize the contract.

In my opinion, you need to remove your head from your a$$.

We've had hundreds of DC8 folks doing absolutely nothing for months, and block hours CONTINUE to decrease.

We are way overstaffed.

The MOU was genius,

We have the ability to forestall a furlough until 2012 or something and morons like you still think the company is bluffing,

That's what's amazing,

Sorry for the personal attacks, just calling a spade a spade

Gremlin, to say getting furloughed in today's world would be bad is an understatment. I think your post is accurate and reasonable.

I hope I'm not sticking a fork in some ones eye. Best of luck to us

No I havn't watched the video yet, I will this weekend. My comment was based on your statement that 70% of the MOU savings where from the top 2700 members. Did I misunderstand it?

Actually I feel a little upset not guilt with UPS for giving a 650% increase in bonuses to mgt while my family does with less. Seems to me they used my concern for my fellow pilots as a way to increase their income.

I don't blame you for being concerned, Just don't take it out on the those who are helping, which is the IPA

Airbum,

I think he meant that 30% of the savings came from the bottom 14% of the group. This is why it was a bad idea to publish the numbers in the beginning and why it's not a great idea that they did it now. It really pits one group against another if we're not careful. I think the one good thing that comes from showing the numbers is that it shows all demographics made significant contributions to this MOU, and that it's very possible to close the remaining gap with a higher percentage of participation...which I think was pretty good already. Now that we know where we stand, we have a better idea of how to follow through and bury this furlough threat once and for all. This program needs to stay voluntary and we need more help to complete it...A furlough willl affect us all...not just the bottom 300-400. Thanks again to everyone who contributed!

I think we should also donate funds to the Midwest Express, TWA, UAL, AA, and USair pilot groups. Why stop with just the bottom 300?
