New UPS furlough number

That should be the rallying cry out of the IPA, instead of the "dig a little deeper" message we're sure to hear shortly. Sometimes you just have to call it for what it is. Don't forget UPS never misses an opportunity to shove it up our arses, I say we return the favor.

The IPA gave back 25 million and UPS mgt gave themselves a 650 increase in bonuses ..... mmmm
Didn't that only go to the CEO?

Easy to say when you are a MD11 captain without the threat

You're missing the point, for years (three to be exact) the IPA has been UPS' whipping boy. I remember days gone by where the IPA would actually notice a crack in UPS's armor and exploit the hell out of it. Maybe I failed to get my message across but what I'm trying to say is we have a chance to highlight the egg on UPS' face. A good defense begins with a good offense. We are not alone on this, plenty of non union workers are taking cuts as well as lower and mid level UPS managers who must feel the same frustration as we do when the top bosses take in all of the savings ponied up by us serfs. In the past, top UPS management started out as package handlers. Not so this time. Scott Davis is the first outsider to take the helm. In the past, top UPS management would not reward themselves in such a greedy way when other employees were being asked to give back. This demonstrates very poor leadership skills in my opinion that should provide the IPA with PR traction. Perhaps a better idea would be to continue trying to expand the MOU while exploiting the double standard demonstrated by top management.

We are in a tough spot. I've given all I am gonna give but I also know that sticking it up the arse of UPS means that it is going to go up sone very innocent arses as well, and UPS will still be doing fine.

I agree with that statement. I've had a couple things I couldn't believe how the union dragged their feet.
