The 450-500 is now because we are flying less than we were then UPS first thought about furloughs. Talked to some of the EB the other day. UPS will still want their goal but have not said if 300 is still the number or if it will be greater. At least if they know, they didn't tell me.

What No Open Time!
Long time since I have read here (I see I did not miss much).
It will be interesting when the furlough trigger is pulled here at UPS. No Open time. No JA's! At least I hope not by any "member in Good Standing with the Union" (it might last for two weeks)
After all where would all the 175+ Flight Qualified Supervisors justifly their positions. After all with a furlough we are going to need all the extra "management to manage the pilot group". My bet says this one will not work out for them in the long run. Maybe the UPS Board will look good to shareholders once the FAA bill passes and they furlough some pilots and mechanics, but when the NMB see's the IPA's side of the management angle, the house of cards could come down.........
At least the current Board at UPS will walk out with some $$$ in their pocket.
No doubt 2010 could be an interesting year at Brown!!
As far as the IPA election. EVERYONE PLEASE VOTE!!!!
