Default Op. Emergency in MEM! Draft? Overstaffed?

I've gotten 2 calls for draft this early afternoon, so far. Apparently our overstaffed airline is running short. I cannot wait for the day that freight doesn't move because we have to many crewmembers sitting at home enjoying family time. 4.A.2.b will go on until aircraft don't move, period.

Default DRAFTING for DOLLARS

This is the reason I cannot trust anyone here, as long as we have guys and gals feeding off draft calls, volunteer calls, etc., then nothing else will matter ........................... The idealists can pack sand too, we live in a world of $$$ amongst our group. But, we just can't stand for anyone to make more $$$ than we do, eh ???

I've read your post twice. Would I be correct in saying that you feel very strongly about this, both ways?

Or...You just basically hate everyone?

THAT!! I can understand.

Looks like they could not get enough folks to help. A F/O ASTBY trip never got filled, it still shows it being open. Now, if we can get actual trips to be open hours after show time or cancelled b/c lack of crews. There comes a point that all those picking up trips either get tired of being away or run out of time in their make-up bank. Enjoy your family time and don't fly sick or tired.

The word is, 25 planes diverted yesterday morning, and didn't make it to Melvis. Though they have run out of MD-11 f/o reserves almost every day this month.

That's just terrible with all that bad weather. What time does the ballgame start?

There are arpt stby periods in open time and you'd be crazy to pick up one of these. There are no or only one reserve pilot left. You would be basically volunteering w/o getting paid volunteer pay.

Picking up any of these STBY pairings is just helping the man continue 4a2b.

Let them staff each seat realistically instead of pushing excessive crews down to the 727 and giving them 55 hr BLG's.

Oh well.... Just stating the obvious.

Now back to tilting at windmills

Looks to me like this trip is built to bust 8 in 24. The F/O is working his ars off as an air prostitute this month so I guess he could care less. YGBSM!
