Care to enlighten the rest of us exactly what you're talking about or do you need to be in the super cool APC 2000+ post club to get that info?

Seniority based trip trading would be the death of the ANC commuter! I will vote no way in heII on this contract if that is in there period dot! The only way I can manage my ANC base is to have access to First Come First Serve Open time and most of my piers are the same way. This is a terrible idea that will only serve the guys that are already getting the lines they want. Now they want the open-time too! Spit.................................Spit!!!!!!!!! !!!!

Exactly my point, just because you manage your household one way and mine another, doesn't mean that I do it wrong. Also, comparing widebody capt's savings to widebody f/o's savings is a pretty poor comparison. Glad you are able to save money.
Also, it's makeup time. I gave that time up due to a variety of reasons. When I choose to makeup those hours is my decision, not yours or the other 4700 guys here.

If we all had our own financial houses a little more in order, it might be a little easier for us to show a little more unity when needed! The reality is though, everyone has an excuse to fly that extra trip (myself included on the rare occasion I fly one), protect carryover, pick up that DP, etc...Susie's college, Johnny's new braces, momma's new Lexus, Fido's dialysis, pappa's new plane (morotcycle, boat, RV,...), gotta keep up with the Jones at XYZ country club, gotta pay the mortgage on the Capt size McMansion because the bank projected pay to be 8yr widebody Capt pay 8 yrs ago, insert some other "unplanned" or over-extended event, yada, yada, yada!
Of course, your mileage may vary!

Because I think it would be better for the crew force to not have people flying 150 hours a month I am part of some evil APC club? I think most of the APC evil club members are against a cap. This is supposed to be an area for open discussion. Because some idiot is embarassed about his open time hawking he chooses to start making personal atacks. Then starts whining because he gets called on his whining. You don't like the idea say so.
No one is standing over your shoulder watching you mouse strokes. Pick up all the open time you want. I don't look at others calendars to rat them out. But is it better for the crew force or the company to have some flying 120 hours a month while others are forced to fly 56? Me, I think the company. Think what you want say what you want. Rants from idiots don't bother me.

I think we should have a town hall meeting. Might help us all calm down a little. On a different note, does anyone think that safety becomes a factor at 120CHs/mo, or 130CHs/mo or maybe 140CHs/mo. At some point it is an issue. The next bent airplane might affect us all, senior and junior, more than 4A2B. Where is that point? Just curious.

So now, because I disagree with the famous APC club, I'm a DP flyer now. Uh, no, I'm not and never have flown one. As for furloughing, I'm glad we have 4a2b because I don't want to see anyone on the street. Is that clear enough for you? What's your next accusation, I must be a scab now right? Some of you are plain and simple f'ing tools.
Also, it's makeup time, not draft or volunteer. Those makeup hours are ones I dropped for one reason or another. If I choose to recapture those hours, then how is that so wrong??
I can't believe how f'ed up some of you guys are by twisting and turning every little word that's posted on this site for your own twisted views of how pilot life should be at FDX. Everyone's life is different at FDX.

Why is draft or volunteer wrong? It's in the contract just like makeup is. It doesn't say you shouldn't fly during negotiations. Sometimes "WE" as a crewforce think it's not ok to fly draft or volunteer. Perhaps doing something within the bounds of the contract shouldn't be done at certain times - flying 50-80 hrs more than BLG included.
Wow you call me a tool, that hurts... Kinda like FI huh?

Management has to love reading these boards. The dysfunction probably has them laughing their arse off. Great for our negotiating a new contract! We are, and will always be (IMO), our worst enemy.
