Cargo Airlines & Video Policy
Hey everyone, just got a quick question for any pilots who can tell me a little about cargo airlines and their rules pertaining to video documentaries:
I have a large aviation channel on YouTube (YouTube - Jon5700's Channel) and I periodically post spotting videos here at SDF, usually of UPS traffic: so of course I've always wondered about how companies like UPS or FedEx felt about the idea of a camera crew or person following a particular flight and getting some pilot protocol and just a lot of interesting info for people to gather.
It's not like it wouldn't get watched or potentially sell
Just wondering though,
Thanks everyone!

Unless you're National Geographic (they did an Ultimate Factories episode on UPS Worldport) it probably isn't going to happen. At FDX, it is written we cannot video any part of operations while on company property, which includes aircraft.
That said, crewmembers take photos/video all the time....just make sure your ID is not in the picture and you should be golden.
