Here is a quick update on my coffee shop.
Still not ready to open, but hope to do so at the end of September. In the meantime, I just continue to spend money on commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment that I never knew I would possibly want or need before. I think I may have to resort to bribery of state government employees to move things along.
My biggest fear is that I don't make enough money in any given day to breakeven. So I am re-thinking the idea of putting a pole in the middle of the room and opening back up again after 6 pm. I'll also look into getting a liquor license.
In a Regional thread on Second Jobs, I received a number of PMs about my barista job opening. If I end up transforming my little cafe into a strip club at night, I will also be needing some of those types of employees.
