Default FDX- Will jumpseat return?

The story goes employees at the LAX ramp screwed something up and j/s got 86'd. Will FedEx bring back the company wide j/s program ever? I am aware flight crew, mx, and business travel still get the 'privilege'.

I think it's up to the TSA. I think they got involved w/ the current restriction. Frankly, I think they got it right. (Did I just write that?)

Until non-pilot employees are given the same background scrutiny that pilots are and we can be confident they're not a threat, I think they need to stay behind. I don't need to spend a second worrying about who is behind the door when I step out to take a leak or grab some food. Pax birds have secondary barriers and flight attendants to enhance protection of the cockpit door while it's open during flight - not to mention at least a hundred or so people who very much want the cockpit to stay secure - we don't.

Probably not what you want to hear.

Sure, let's be quiet. Can't have enough secrets.

Someone's feathers might get ruffled.

i'm no insider, but i served a couple of tours sorting your pax in the back and loading the planes and I continually pushed this question till I got a satisfactory answer from someone who would be in the know and there is so much red tape and hoops to jump Uncle Fred is not going to spend the bucks right now or probably ever to allow former rampers and such to catch a free ride. I'm merely sharing my humble opinion, and that's right, I am dangerous, cheers boys
