If we went from a 58 hr average to a 63 hour average we wouldn't need up to 400 more bodies system wide and still be in 4a2b. Just because they did buyups on the way down doesn't mean they will do them on the way up as manning improves.
Also, what will involvement of an arbitrator cause? If the company is forced to cough up some of the lost hourly pay could it result in another excess bid and push 100-400 more pilots into the 727 SO and FO seats?
Then what? After an arbitrator award how would the company try to save the money it's saving right now? I don't think they will give up that easily...

I'm not saying I don't want us to win, but I just don't see it happening.

Do you seriously think we are going to win the arbitration? I may not be a lawyer, but our contract seems to give them every right to do what they are doing. We can talk about intent all day long, but the language itself seems pretty clear.
