Down again for a couple of weeks. Deja Vu. Good luck with the training all you MD types.

Hard down for weeks?

This ought to be interesting seeing how we have a bunch of initial students coming through the Anchorage training facility now. But, the recurrent stuff will probably need to be completed instead of the initial stuff.

UPS needs to stay heavy on pilots due to the sims going down.

That thing is a p.o.s. and always has been. Typical UPS, step over a dollar to save a nickle.

The SDF MD11 sim is still hard broke (and I don't see a fix in the near future). CAE was down here all week. Just like last time, a few years ago, as they peel back one layer of the onion, they find more stuff, and still can't fix the original issues.

JMHO, but I betcha all AQP will be done in ANC soon, with initial training done in ATL or MIA. This will severely impact the jumpseat availability between SDF-ANC. The good news is it will add 2-3 days commute/rest to each short term training event. Flight ops is gonna love these trip drops. Glad I didn't bid reserve in 09-05!

I have 12 month in ANC in a week. Heres to some crappy sim times and geezers walking around like zombies waiting for the sim all hours of the night.
