I have to admit that I have nothing but good experiences with Delta guys. A couple of airlines ago, I used to commute on DL to get to work. The crews and other jumpseaters always went out of their way to help out.
DL pilots have been through a lot since 9/11. Its not fair to blame the guys still there for the 2% amongst those that took the money and ran.

In the fall of 1993, I flew Dash-8's for Atlantic Coast Airlines.
We arrived [typically 1 hour late] at Norfolk, Virginia's airport. We went to get into the crew van; there was a Delta crew going to their hotel at the same time. The Delta "captain" instructed the van driver to remove our bags from the van, and made SURE that we did not ride in it to the hotel.
We took a van 15 minutes later. My Captain called ALPA about it, but got the run around.
-Subsequently, I have jumpseated across the Atlantic Ocean dozens of times on Delta to my significant other at the time, and I have always been treated like royalty!
That removal of bags: That was out of line-
That guy, that captain? He's an *******.
"It's all about me", as per Fox News-
