Default FedEx Last Secondary Line

Checked my bid award prog (from the block activities page) and saw I had the last VTO, and my seniority level should be mid level VTO. How did I mess my bid up so bad to end up with that? If you do not have enough choices in does it give you the last VTO? I am SIBA if that matters. This new SIBA Secondary Bid is a mess.

Can you ask for the last SIBA Secondary line to ensure Reserve or does it rearange into seniority order anyway, ie could the more senior of the list pick the last VTO to get Reserve if he wanted, since he cant hold Reserve.

My best guess is that enough guys senior to you don't have their bid in yet and have their default bid as 'any VTO.'

The same thing happens to me; it shows a mid-level VTO the day before when I should get top 2 or 3.

Do you ask for reserve in your secondary request? If so, what have they given you? I guess they have to give all the trips first before assigning reserves.

VTO went much more senior, must be due to reduced RLG. I only bid through 5025 thinking that was enough and must not have been

I believe Secondary (VTO) lines are awarded in seniority order.

Example below:

Most senior guys gets line 8001
next most gets 8002,
etc., etc., etc.

Nope. You can bid whichever secondary line you want based on your seniority and the lines are built in numerical order (they used to put trips on more senior guys' lines regardless of line #). So if you're the #1 guy and you bid the last VTO you should get it and if no trips remain by the time they build your line you could end up with all R days. (done it a few times)

If you bid "any VTO" they are assigned in senority order. The only way to get a lower VTO is to bid one of the last VTO's. For example ANC junior VTO holders were getting all R-days and the more senior guys getting horrible trips. I requested R-days and MS would not give any to me saying he has to assign trips first to the highest (more senior) VTO lines before he could hand out any R-days. He told me the only way to get R-days would be to bid one of the last VTO lines that he would get to after all the trips had been assigned. So you roll the bones.
