Last contract.....INCORRECT
Under the first contract secondary lines were not awarded in seniority order (with the exception of using the 9952 Any Secondary VTO Line), they were awarded by the line numbers you requested. The rub was, when schedules built your line they went in seniority order vice numerical order. So a senior pilot could bid the last VTO and still get his choice of trips over someone junior that held the #1 VTO. It was like when the senior guys put something in their standing bid only to mess with the practice bids.
This was partially fixed in the new contract where lines are built in numerical order, except that the line building software still ranks requests and you may get your first choice but all bets are off after that Also, we have schedulers that have their own interpretation of what some of the standard verbiage means
